Minor Changes at Kethos Project

After several years of writing Kethos fantasy setting books, I think I’ve finally hit a wall with it. This summer I was working on Book 4 (Gemric), Book 5 (Yoroda), and Book 6 (Steampunk Future Kethos) at the same time. Now we are just waiting on proof copies for Book 4, art for Book 5, and my personal interest for Book 6. Additionally, a couple of adventure supplements are still being written by guest writers. It’s not the end of the Kethos era, just a long pause. I tend to come and go from the setting… always have.

My actual interests and writing juices are shifting more towards science fiction, especially near-future and cyberpunk. My next writing project, which I just recently started, is the Southowilson Setting. This cyberpunk city, like Kethos, is a long-running homebrew setting that I plan to turn into a book. It’s going to be a while, though, as the art budget is shrinking this year and will probably be reduced for at least a few months. I expect to release more, smaller products instead of large, comprehensive books, as in the past.
