Nevada Free Zone Sourcebook
I’ve started work on the Nevada Free Zone Sourcebook, and it’s coming together alongside the Southowilson core book. This is one I’ve wanted to do for a while. A lot of it comes straight out of actual campaigns; stuff that worked at the table, stuff that didn’t, and the version that survived after we kicked it around a few times. The idea here isn’t to overbuild it, but to give you a solid, usable frontier you can drop your group into and run with. It’s written for Savage Worlds Adventure Edition, and if you’ve got the Sci-Fi Companion (and maybe Horror, depending on how strange you want things), you’ll get even more out of it.
The Free Zone itself is pretty simple at its core: water matters more than money, movement is survival, and nobody stays in control for long. You’ve got convoy crews trying to keep the Eighty running, isolated towns making their own rules, and road gangs filling the gaps in between. It's likely that many campaigns will center on logistics without calling it that: escort jobs, salvage, holding a route open, and figuring out who you can trust this week. I’m keeping the maps and structure loose on purpose, because half the fun is filling in those empty spaces and making the place your own.
